Brush Pickup

Brush pickup resumes Monday, March 1, 2021. Please see the attached notice for acceptable and non-acceptable items. Paper bags of landscape waste must have stickers purchased from Village Hall. Stickers are $3 each.

Village Maintenance crew requests that landscape waste be put as close to the road as possible. The ground is very soft currently and they would like to avoid putting ruts in yards. If waste is too far off the side of the road, they may not be able to pick up.

Ameren & Unsafe Trees in the Right of Way

If you have a tree or trees in the right of way that interfere with Ameren power lines or may be unsafe, please call the Village office at 217-485-5212. Our maintenance staff is currently creating a list of possible trees that Ameren will evaluate and possibly take down if close enough to their lines. If your tree does not interfere with power lines, but does pose a threat, our crew will come take a look at the trees, determine the severity and take down as time allows.

Brush Pickups are now twice a month

It’s springtime and that means a lot of folks will be cleaning up their neighborhood.  To assist with those efforts, we will increase brush pickup times to twice a month.  Pickup days are the first and third Monday.  If the second pickup day of the month falls on meter reading day, the brush will be picked up the following day.

Please remember that brush can only be picked up from the curbside. For safety reasons, we can not pick up brush in alleys.
