Dumping at Village Recycling Bins

The Village of Tolono would like to remind members of the community that dumping any materials on the ground around the recycling bins is not permitted regardless of the reason for doing so. Items left on the ground or prohibited items placed in the bins causes additional cost to the village. If this continues, we may be required to reduce service or even terminate the program. Please help us keep this popular program by following the posted rules.

Water line flushing

The Village of Tolono water department will be flushing water lines the week of June 5-9, 2017.  Starting June first, there will be an elevated level of chlorine in the water.  This elevated level of chlorine will still be BELOW the maximum allowable limit set by the EPA.

During this time, there may be a noticeable taste & smell of chlorine in our water.  The water will still be safe to drink. Please be aware that additional chlorine levels may cause discoloration in your water that could lead to discoloration in clothing and other fabrics.
